This is a thank you note to let your staff know how our family was so pleased with the care that was given to George Watson, my husband and my children father at a time that was tough for us for him to be placed in a facility. Your staff was so kind to him they were kind, pleasant and understood his needs related to his illness. He was always found clean, alert and out of bed daily. He always looked nice! I worked for nursing facilities for 20 years. I/m aware of the kind of care he was given at your facility. He often stated the staff was really nice and liked him. Virginia Rach and Jennifer Rach are the wife and daughter of a resident at Walnut Ridge. Both women stated that they went around to a bunch of different homes and looked at them for the right fit. They liked the fact that we are a memory care facility which was located very close to their home. They also stated that they were very pleased that our facility, which is one of the few who accept veterans benefit help. Viriginia also stated that the cost her at Walnut Ridge was more reasonable than anywhere else. And they both said they absolutely love the floor plan lay out that you can see everything in every direction and that everything is all on one floor.

The aspect of your care that truly brings tears to my eyes even as I write this is the manner in which you cared for my mom (and the family) in her final days on this earth were very limited. The “Hospice Rooms” you provided to her and our family made her passing so much more peaceful for all of us. At times, we had 4 or more family members with her, and that would not have been possible without the room. Every one of the staff who came to attend to mom, before leaving the room, asked if they could be of help to us. We were able to stay, to hold her hand, and be with her until the end. You truly made it possible for mom to pass “at home”. The staff members that came and knelt beside mom’s bed called her “Mama” as they always did, told her they loved her and would miss her, and many left with tears in their eyes.
